Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit making membership-based organization that provides services designed to support its members in business development. As an independent organization, ZNCC has represented the interests of its members for over 100 years, especially through advocacy, and provides a focus on business empowerment as the engine for economic growth. ZNCC also aims to be a leader in business development in the national economy and a channel of communication between businesses and the various authorities in Zimbabwe.

The Annual Congress is a flagship event for the Chamber whose main thrust is to facilitate dialogue between various stakeholders including; the Government, members of the diplomatic community, international organizations, civil society, non-governmental organizations, the academia, and the media fraternity. The ZNCC Annual Congress is held at the end of June in each Calendar Year. The Zimbabwe National Chamber of Commerce has set the theme for 2024 as "Unlocking New Frontiers for Sustainable Industrialization and Climate Smart Business Growth." This theme emphasizes the importance of sustainable practices in driving economic prosperity while addressing global challenges like climate change. The new Zimbabwe National Industrial Development Policy (ZNIDP) (2024-30) aims to propel the economy forward while minimizing environmental impacts. Zimbabwe's commitment to international agreements like the Paris Agreement is highlighted, with various projects focused on environmental stewardship and climate resilience. Efforts are underway to promote energy efficiency and renewable energy, with companies and regulatory bodies working together to adopt cleaner technologies. Climate-smart business growth, focusing on sectors like agriculture and tourism, is seen as crucial for reducing emissions and building resilience.
