Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position of Branch Administration Officers for our Branches in Victoria Falls and Kwekwe. Reporting to the Branch Administrators, the successful incumbent will be responsible for executing the following duties;

  1. Custodian of the ZNCC members’ database to ensure that membership information is up to date.
  2. Visit members at their places of business and initiate discussions on areas of concern and interest to members.
  3. Plan and organize conferences, seminars and workshops for the Chamber and mobilise members to attend such events.
  4. Establish and maintain relationships with key ZNCC stakeholders including sponsors, media and members
  5. Participate as secretary to Chamber sub committees as determined by the Chamber from time to time.
  6. Keeping an up to date register of all branch assets and liabilities

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have a degree in Business Management, Marketing, Accounting or any other related qualification will be an added advantage
  • Previous work experience in positions similar or related to this job with minimum of two years
  • Must be proficient in standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Exceptional professionalism, control and confidence and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the company.
  • Excellent organizational, administrative, problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of online marketing techniques, search engine optimization principles, online research, and networking concepts.
  • Proven ability to plan, manage and execute multiple events simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must possess strong sales, people management and customer service skills
  • Being a Victoria Falls or Kwekwe resident will be an added advantage for the respective branch

ACCOUNTS GRADUATE TRAINEE

Job brief

The candidate will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks.

Accounting GT’s responsibilities include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements and also run accounting software programs (e.g. SAGE) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful Accounts GT should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.

Ultimately, a successful candidate will ensure that the Chamber’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to Chamber personnel
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
  • Constantly update job knowledge

Requirements

  • Proven accounting experience
  • Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in MS Office, databases and accounting software
  • Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
  • Data entry and word processing skills
  • Well organized
  • A first degree in Accounting
